Hi All, Last year I changed my hydraulic oil in my IH340 loader/hoe as it contained alot of water. I drained it into two 5gal buckets and put a plastic garbage bag over the bucket until I could take it to the recycler. It's been setting for alittle over a year and I forgot to buy HyTran (IH hydraulic oil) the last time I was in town and I broke a hydraulic hose on the hoe. I replaced the hose and needed some oil so I looked at the used stuff. The water had seperated out to the bottom so I screened the oil thru a coffee filter and it looked great, nice and clean, so I put in 3gallons in the tractor. Out of 5gal I got 4.5gal of useable oil. The coffee filter was also clean so the oil hadn't been in very long when I bought the tractor. The tractor sees about 50hrs of use a year so I don't think it'll hurt a thing. I'm keeping the other bucket! T_Bone
