RUN not walk !!!! away from a VT-555 Cummins motor. They where a problem child from the get go. If they ever are over heated just a little they will scrap the heads. Fifteen years ago they where hard to find at any price. Also had problems with the sleeves working loose in the blocks. Would scrap the block.
I would put my money else where. You could be buying a big repair bill. If you want cheap 4WD look at the Case 2470 or 2670. About the same age and would be in that price range.
There is a Case 2470 on Tractor house with duals for $8800 in Angus MN. 400 hour on engine major and 1500 hours on tires. Seems a good deal to me. (218)745-5854
I have nothing to do with this ad. Just looked like a better deal to me than a 555.
