I used to work for Corecomm which was bought out by Localnet. MarkB is correct, it's all in the quality of the phoneline from you to the POP (point of presence) It is possible the backhaul from the POP to the Localnet server has too much traffic, but very doughtful with everyone dumping dialup for highspeed. You could see if they have another access number for you. You could also try a Globalpop number Corecomm used them for when we didn't have a local Core number for the customer. I don't know if Localnet gained usage of them or not but worth a try. When using a Globalpop number be sure and use you full email address a your username. Like bob@localnet.com
