Pull the gas line at the carburetor and see if there's a full flow of gas from the tank. Use a clean container to catch the gas and if there's just a trickle from the tank, your gas tank needs cleaning.
If there's full stream of gas from the tank remove the tube fitting from the carb where your gas line connects. Look for a screen behind that fitting to see if it is plugged with rust and dirt. If that looks ok open the main jet adjusting screw near the bottom of the carb if it has one several turns ccw to open it. This will enrich your fuel mixture as garder tractors and big mowers have this feature. If this doesn't help you need to pull the carb and soak it in carb cleaner and blow out all the jets with air.
