go to the nearest part store or maybe you mite have some , you need a small steel ball bearing. small enough to fit down in the threaded hole but not so small or to loose ,it will fit on the end of the theaded bolt it should be formed to fit the ball pressed against it inside the hole itself. when the ball bearing is in the hole tighten up snug and pump grease to the track adjuster this in turn should push the track out to tighten etc...... you want approx 1 1/2in of sag between the center idler and rear sprocket,a little tighter if working on hill sides or little looser if in deep mud etc.....use your own judgement. to loosen the tracks back out the threaded bolt etc... and the track should collaspe if not move the tractor forwards and reverse a very few feet such as not to roll the track off do not try and turn unless on pavement, to avoid rolling tracks off. when done with your work make sure the ball bearing is in the hole,install bolt and tighten jam nut pump grease to the level you want. note you mite have to pump grease several times to get the tightness you want or need especially if all the grease is out of the barrel. hope this helps you
