The tractor ref books often have different info, not unusual when looking for 50-80 year old data... The original Waite (about 1913-1916) had a Wauk 31/2x51/4 (per I&T's 1916-25 history; specs but no power rating); The Elgin 9-18 a Buda 33/4x51/8; The Elgin 10-20, (oddly listed as a 17-27 by I&T) the Rutenbur 41/8x51/2. Per most references, Rutenburs were pretty rare in tractors; don't know much about other early gasoline engined Ag eqpmt. the Elgin 12-25, possibly AKA the "New Elgin", the Erd 4x6. Std Cat has no real spec info on Waite; the Ency's already gone back to library. We'd all greatly appreciate knowing what info you have re' yours being a 1913 Elgin, if any painting is left which company name/adds is shown and which engine you have. Many thxx!! Bud

The main focus of this page is to show how I upgr
