What engines fit IH 424 or 2424? - Need complete one

I'm considering buying an IH 2424 tractor/loader/backhoe that only has the block. The rest of the engine parts were lost by a previous owner.

What engines will fit a 424 or 2424 tractor? I would prefer a gasoline engine.

As an alternative, I may consider getting an AG tractor with utility wide front and mount the loader/backhoe onto it. Machining and fabrication of brackets and modifications I don't think would be a problem since I have nearly a complete machine shop in my garage. I would guess the 2424 is around 40HP.

Any suggestions?
