First let me say thanks to all the service men and women on today, a great day to honor them all past and present.

One of my dogs didn"t come home on Friday, feared the worst. I knew something bad must have happened, she was always close to home. She was a stray that wondered in and I fed her since she was about to starve to death 3 winters ago. She went from 30 lbs to 55. Best dog i ever had that would listen to every word I said. She was missing on Friday and I found her underneath some shrubs in the fencerow today. Nothing physically wrong with her, she must have got into something or she just went. Now I"m trying to frantically find whatever she may have gotten into so our other dog doesn"t get into it. Not sure what to tell the kids, they"re still little. I think she just ran away. I"m not looking for any sympathy, just telling a story and make sure you don"t have anything bad around your pets may get into. Holidays aren"t going to well for us-my oldest daughter broke her arm on Easter, I find my dog the hard way on Memorial Day. I"m locking us all in the house on July 4th. She"s the black one. My old guy that"s brown has been with us for 13 years. He"s kind of mean still, but I don"t mind. He keeps any strangers away and protects my kids.

Today's Featured Article - Listening to Your Tractor - by Curtis Von Fange. Years ago there was a TV show about a talking car. Unless you are from another planet, physically or otherwise, I don’t think our internal combustion buddies will talk and tell us their problems. But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo. ... [Read Article]
