about three years ago i subdivided 10 acres of land to put a house on it to sell. We had the hole dug for the basement was building forms for the footingsand just preparing for concrete. during that whole time we were walking over this one rock that was at grade so we had just left it. One real sunny day I noticed how shiny it was so i had a closer look it had small gold flakes in it my helper said it was fools gold and i agreed with him but i dug it out anyway. A week later I called a guy I knew hat did a little panning in the rivers around here and asked him to come have a look.He had come that same day and had a look and told me it was real gold but it was so fine it is hard to separated from the black sand he said it was called flour gold and that there was lots up in this country mainly about 200 feet above the little smokey river and thats about how high we were from the river just about a mile from here. I thought that was kind of cool finding gold even though there was not much of it. PS there was another big rock that was solid gold but was to heavy to lift so i covered it back up.wanna buy a acorage LOL
