Freshly mowed grass of a certain scent brings back memories of the early 70"s for me. We would go to the VA. state fairgrounds to race on a little (1/8-3/16 mile) oval dirt track that was on the infield of the original 1/2 mile Nascar asphalt track during the summer on Wednesday nights. The pits were outside the wall of the dirt track out in the grass and they always cut the grass down as low as they could. We"d put down a piece of canvas to park the bikes on and keep from losing parts. Neat little track and I"ll never forget the night I won the 100 CC class feature on my Bultaco 100!
