I have most of my farm(maybe 20 units) converted to Optima and Exide Orbital spiral AGM batteries.
The only one that has ever failed,(an Optima red top), did so at 16 years age. The 3-4 Optima red tops are all 10+ years old in large and small farm equippment,+ farm cars and trucks / pickups. The Exide orbital, (clone of an Optima red top) seems to be every bit as reliable and strong as the Optima. I would guess that 3/4 of my spiral cell AGM batteries are the Exide orbitals, as they are avalible locally for around $20 less than an Optima red top. I love the things, reliable, strong, no corrosion of terminals and battery box. Pretty much an install it and forget it battery that will about last the life of the machine.
