I know what you mean. I try to buy U.S. made too, even if it costs me some what more. (but I wouldn't have paid for the high-priced rims either!) Had to replace 3 tires during planting this spring. Ended up with 2 Carlisle (U.S.) and a Chinese-made, because that's what the shop had on hand. The ones that blew out were a 2-year old Chinese-made on my loader tractor, another fairly new India-made on my Vibra-shank, and a U.S. made on the disk that was probably as old as I am. I'll put in a plug for a company I've started buying from... Texas Jeans Co. (100% U.S. made, but don't expect them to come from Texas!)
