Carb problem most of the time will act up from the get go or about 5 minute from the get go. Coil on the other hand take an hour or so to mess up. Another way to check if it is the coil is when it acts up carefully garb the coil if it is so hot that it will burn you then you know it is the coil. As I said be very careful doing that
