The machine is a Burr mill near as I can tell. There are parts missing mainly the hopper. I think Mike has it pretty well pegged as to value.
I looked real close also as I suspected the same thing Mike did as to the foliage around this machine. My guess is it is the ditch version and of no value unless you are making rope. That stuff was introduced during WW II as a substitute for items that we couldn't get due to restrictions. Still fighting it 70 years later.
