I just saw the story about this, I am glad that all escaped, but am saddened at the loss, because it signifies the reality of those who were assigned to B17's, so that we/future generations may never forget the sacrifice they made, hard to learn that from a book, rather than one seeing or flying in one of these. I've seen it fly several times, not enough $$$ to catch a ride, when it was here, though I have a short video of it in a banking turn over my house, and it came over our barn 30 miles north of here at almost tree top level last summer, I heard it coming and rushed outside to see it.
Today has been a downright depressing day for me besides, hope tomorrow is better, and am glad no one got hurt except an old but worthy piece of history.
