Has anyone heard of a Sean Smith that does hauling with a car trailer? He is supposedly from Tampa, FL. He contacted me about 3 weeks ago through an ad I placed in the Need Hauled section of the Hauling Schedule. It was for a Pontiac engine I need hauled to Phoenix, AZ. He quoted me a flat rate of $350 and he required a deposit of $120 to be sent to an address in Akron, PA. I sent a Moneygram, which he requested, to the address and have not heard from him since. I've tried calling his cell number dozens of times, left messages, and have not gotten any response back. I'm beginning to think I've been scammed. The request for a deposit should have been the first red flag. Does anyone out there reqire deposits for hauling? I have hauled for other people through these same ads on YT and have never required a deposit from anyone. Has anyone else heard of Sean Smith? Thanks for any input you can post.
