Since we all use computers to access this site I though you might be interested in something I just learned after discovering I had a problem with Windows 7 in my week old Dell. Dell no longer supports the installed software (Windows) as part of the warranty. If you have a problem with the software, you have to pay $230 for one year support, which allows you 4 calls per year. Microsoft tells you to get help from the manufacturer, unless you want to pay $60 per call. I do not know if others, such as HP/Compaq, Sony, etc. have also started the same practice or not.
