My friend Drew took the photos. He's been a professional photographer for most of 40 years - uses fancy cameras and all that. He sometimes "practices" a little, trying to get the perfect shot of a bird or flower or in this case dragonfly. The skies were full of these things last weekend and he must have spent at least 2 hours snapping pics, looking at them on the screen, deleteing them, etc. I haven't heard if he got that ONE great photo of a dragonfly in flight but I asked him to email me a couple of pics so I could make this post about helicopters. Here is another pic of one of those pesky choppers. It must be discharging some troops or maybe taking on some more of that contrail spray.
Here is another photo he snapped of a couple of visitors we had. They were at least 150 yards away but the camera really pulled them in close.
