Wow, where to begin: My hay equipment was sold by my uncle who hauled or towed all but the haybine from 280 miles away; haybine was out of MN near the Dakota border, 350 miles. JD 1630 and Fordson Major both came from 250 miles away (separately), Cockshutt 1850 came from 625 miles away, Allis 160 I just hauled from 750 miles away, seed drill and chain harrows hauled from 800 miles away, rake with dolly wheel came from 850 miles away, running gear/hay rack hauling from 250 miles away, plow and disc going to be towed home from 20 miles away, I sold the little Case VA and hauled it 100 miles to buyer. The place where I live and where the animals live is 175 miles away from the haybarn where our hay is stored. I load 120 bales for highway travel 17 or 18 times a year. The hay fields I cut are as far away as 20 miles from our haybarn. I float the tractor and tow the equipment to the far fields. Other fields I drive the tractor to are between 2-4 miles. I drive 250 miles to work but then stay for 7 days. I drive 2 miles for groceries, postal, hardware store. It isn't feasible for me to drive to ANY Ag dealer for parts - either order online or ask around at distant scrapyards for 5 months. Ag mechanic is 12 miles from our haybarn (where most of the equipment is stored). I can't wait to move to that property to avoid driving 10,000 extra miles every year... Jay

But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out. After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
