you might try what we used to call vulcanizing,simply melting it back with a hot iron.There used to be tools for this but i havent seen one in years.You might have to jack up tire and let air out if cut is spread open,that should let it go back together. If its got fluid make sure valve stem is on top before you let air out.What we always did was to spread cut with a screwdriver coat inside good with rubber glue ,and then seal out side with a hot iron.Since its across a lug you'll very likely rip part of the lug off eventually, thats kind of a bad spot to try to patch.I have one with a long cut in rubber of sidewall.If i can remember to stop and get rubber glue ,this is what i'm going to do with it.
