I dug mine a couple of weeks ago,best crop i every had,strange though, i wasnt expecting them to do much with all the dry weather.I probably should have left them a while longer,but the need for new potatoes,fresh green beans and ham overrode common sense!I canned up 14 qts of new potatoes,and had over 100 lbs or so more of them from a 40 ft row.I planted them way back in march though ,read somewhere in one of my old books that they didnt like heat and thats why they didnt do so well here.thinking of planting some this fall and seeing what happens.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion.
