I refused to work on flat rate.We all know that some jobs go easy on one car and turn into a nightmare on others.My dad had a mid sized Ford car years ago.He came up to vist and complained about noise in the front end.He had some work done and a fool put the wrong wheel bearings in.The brake linings were shot.The wheel cylinders were leaking.The bleeder screws broke off so I replace both wheel cylinders.When I pushed the brake pedal to bleed the system the pedal would not return.Next step new master cylinder.I was able to get the parts at a local garage.That would have been a fun flat rate job.
