Remington has an interesting habit of recalling or putting out a 'not safe to shoot' advisery on nearly everything they ever made, don't know if it is to make new sales or keep lawyers happy, but i gave up on them. Their semi auto rifles they made from the 50's till lately, will not supply or let gunsmiths dupicalte replacement parts, condemn the pumps shotguns they made when Teddy Roosevelt bought Remingtons, I just don't know about them anymore... it their stuff is that bad, they should fire designers and engineers rather than hire more lawyers and PR people

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
