Just got back from the hospital a few minutes ago. Sherry spent the evening sitting up in a chair, and she was doing pretty well, The mask was gone, and she was down to the little job that goes in the nostrils for oxygen...and since this morning, they were able to dial her oxygen level back from 8 to 4 to 3 right before I left tonight.
The docs still want to do a heart catheter to check out the stents from 2001 and the grafts from bypass surgery in 1996...but nothing's been scheduled that way. Her white blood cell count has been HIGHLY elevated, but that's back down closer to normal tonight [but still elevated]. Ultrasound of the legs, and x-ray of the lungs, show no signs of the blood clots they had feared. She had an ultrasound done to check her gall bladder earlier today, but the results hadn't made it upstairs yet tonight. Several indicators show the white cell problem may be gall bladder related, but they have yet to either confirm or to rule it out. Once the potential infection is cornered and dealt with, then they'll do the heart cath, most likely.
Thanks again for the thoughts and prayers. Sherry and I greatly appreciate it.
