You should be happy with that purchase. I"ve got a Hesston 4550 in-line (the smallest of the lineup) and it's been absolutely bulletproof. I was sure surprised with "RetiredFarmers" comments about the Hesston balers he works with. 'Gotta be something terribly wrong there somehow. By the way, how are you going to pick up all these bales? Funny (true) story, I bought my baler used from an older couple. The wife was the one who "sold" it to me. She said she was 78 years old and "the old man don't need that dang baler anymore...and besides, I ain't gonna pick them damn bales up for him anymore"! (actual quote)

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
