Have any of you had problems with the gate latch hooks/arms on JD round balers(535,566,567,567) lately??? They all use the same latch. I have had to replace five of them on three different bales this haying season. They all where bent. Usually they only get bent if the baler makes an over size bale. I even bent one on my 567. I know I never over sized the baler. I usually only make 66 inch bales. I am wondering if there is a bad batch of soft ones out there. The one I bent on my baler was a new one. I had robbed one to get a neighbor going over a weekend. The orginal was fine the new one was bent. The latch angle is off and then the door will open when you get to 3/4s of a bale.
How about it TXJIM it seems you do a bunch of baling, have you seen any problems???
