I have been putting things out by the road for years with a 'free' sign at either end of the pile. I have gotten rid of untold heaps of stuff this way, and I had the same signs for years, painted on plywood scraps about 2 feet square. Last year someone took the signs as well as whatever was there, and I made new ones. I have been through three or four sets of signs now and people keep taking them, even though now I just am using scraps of 1x8 or whatever from the sawmill. I don't think it is some one person who takes them, because they always disappear at the same time as the free stuff and there are different vehicles each time. I can't imagine what anyone would want with them, but I guess if they want them I don't mind making more. Zach
