Got to say I agree with all that don't use the self checkouts. My biggest problem is that they ar putting people out of work and increasing profits. The way I see it is if I'm going to do the work myself then why not give me another 1 or 2% discount over what the store card already gets you. Heck, by having their 'VIP' card your saving them millions already on research and advertising, etc so why would I want to give them anymore when they aren't giving me anymore?
On top of that the few times I've been coerced into using them I've had nothing but problems. It's funny when the person watching over them says do it here and I'll help and then they have problems too....If the place wanted to make good use of their employees they'd let them open a register and handle alot customers instead standing there watching the people waiting in the other lines.......Just my .02
