I've had pretty good support from our county cops. I call them every time something suspicious is going on, and I tell them up front that my goal is to make them as aggravated with these scoundrels as I am. I also always ask them if they would rather I handle the problem myself. They are always very co-operative. Pictures help too. They fill out their paperwork on my kitchen table, over a cup of coffee. If you fail to call the cops, how can they document the pattern of lawbreaking in your neighborhood?
So far we have solved a theft ring, a meth ring, and a nightrider problem.
