The old toilets over here didn't hold as much water and rats could come up thru the drain into the toilet and into the house. Used to be a thing in just about every catalog/magazine that you put in the drainpipe with a oneway flapper. Water will go out but nothing can come in. Sure there is something available in the States also. Sure one of the kids isn't having some fun???
