jackpetro, Sounds like your LP burner has finely burned out! the Original usually last a good while, Lift out the grate and the grate that holds the Lave rocks and look at it. I will bet it is start to fall apart! Take a measurement of the original then...Head on over to Wall Mart Garden Dept and get a Replacement. Now Depending on the size of your grill you may need a small bar style or a larger H design If the the inside dementions of your grill are big enough get the H design. Also inspect the lava rocks and their grates and the cooking grate you probably need new lava rocks or the little brickett rocks though they usually don't start going bad till the 2 or 3 burner replacement. You should get a small 1in wide stiff puddy scraper, an new wire brush to clean up the interior since you are in Overhaul Mode here. Also inspect the overall grill tighten up all loose screws, nuts and bolts, fix your handle if needed, clean the inspection glass if you have one. A gas Grill is a real time save for hamburgers, dogs/brats, chicken breast, grilled veggies When it is just You, You the wife and kids I have a been useing a gas grill since 1980. So when your gas grill starts to just not get as hot as it should be, time to get a new burner. OBTW replacements usually last me about 18 months here in Central Texas! Hope this helps Later, John A.
