If your weather is anything like it's been in MN all summer, just roll the dice and cut some. If I would have waited for windows the only hay I would have made this year would have been what I baled on June 3rd and the 4th of July. I cut about 15 acres that got rained on for 2 weeks, but other than that I've put up some pretty good hay. I've been making a lot more balage than I planned, but you gotta take whatever you can get. If I would have been brave and ignored the forecasts a bit more I would have put up a lot more good-quality dry hay, but it seems like it's almost always "going to rain tomorrow" but then it doesn't.
