I been with Travelers for 25yrs.When Geico and the rest of the big advertisers started harping there big discounts some years ago I tried some quotes over the phone.What they do is quote you with a perfect driving record,no tickets,accidents,claims etc.They wont check your record till you sign up and give them first payment over the phone.It cost them money to check your record.Then if they find anything on your record that quote they gave gave you goes right out the window.So beware of this tactic.It wont matter either if you tell them your record over the phone ,they aren"t even listening to you about that.Im in New York so dont know if this is allowed everywhere as state laws vary.One more thing,I found out with last renewal in fine print that all knocks against you now stay on record for 5yrs. So buyer beware.
