I know that work is hit & miss in lots of areas, but definattly not at my shop. Hardest part is getting the work orders to be released from the office in a good flow.
Been on atleast 45 hours for the last month or so, gonna work Saturday this week, and next week they're calling for 55 hours. Should be a sweet paycheck, if nothing else.
It helps a lot that we got our 2nd crop off last weekend, after only going 3 weeks since 1st crop. We were gonna bale it, but the rain on Friday night changed our plans to chop. Was gummy and fought a few plug ups on the blower, and then finding a bearing bad in our blower so we had to borrow a neighbors spare to finish up. Stayed late on Sunday night to finish chopping it, but we got it done for another month now.
Now I can focus on work again and a larger paycheck. I normally run 2 vertical machining centers, but one has been down for a month already and looks like they may have to replace it as parts appear to be hard to find. Can't say I would mind a new machine one bit...
