Aside from the 1 billion loss at FORD, look at the decisons that they made, including bringing the light diesel inhouse with a FORD designed engine. Would they spend all of THAT money, time, effort, and risk if the 6.0 and others after the 7.3 had been anywhere near OK? You can always find a few 6.0 owners that for whatever reasons have not had problems, or worse yet would never admit it.
