I went to an Amish Auction, Saturday, at a whole valley of Amish farms, and everyone had their oats shocked. It was so beautiful, and reminded me of when I was young, and all of the farms grew and shocked oats, and the community thresh- ing machine came around. And all of the women met at different homes to help prepare dinner-- and those threshers dinners--Oh, My, and the ladys trying to outdo each others with pies and cakes....then back to work..teams pulling wagons and men walking along side to pitch in bundles. Our valleys Threshing machine was powered by a Case DC, and it did a splended job on the belt! Soon school would start, and Autumn be here.
