Every church has one---a nosy old broad who is into every one else's business. I'll call ours "Emma".
One evening recently, our pastor walked out of his office about 9pm and was confronted by a bat in the hall. No one has ever figured out how it got there, but the pastor took one lucky swing with a broom and the bat was history.
The pastor then texted the Music Director and announced he'd just killed an old bat in the church. The Music Director texted back and asked, "What was Emma doing in the church that time of evening?"
