I just googled this, and could only find that coyotes were imported into Florida for dogs to hunt with.
What company imported the coyotes in your area?
I am seeing more coyotes, and less pheasant/quail in Iowa than when I was young. I remember my grandparents hunting coyotes in Missouri. We never saw one in Iowa then.
We did not have predatory birds, due to DDT, and turkeys then.
I am not sure what the total issue is with the dying off of game birds.
