Ive been trying to replace the spring hangers on my Ford pick up.Ordered full set, front hangers were wrong.Took a while to get the box off.Saw that the parts were wrong, called the co.They wont take parts back and refund because its been over 30 days.Tried to get parts local, was handed the wrong parts 3 times. The 4wd has 3 inch wide springs,2 wheel drive has 2 and a half wide springs. Finally called a Ford parts man.He said I know what you need and will set them on the counter so you can get them if Im gone to lunch. They cost more but I finally got the right parts. The road salt ruins many trucks here.I cant afford to replace the truck so Im fixing it.The 80 to 96 4wd uses the same hangers.I found that the F250 uses the same hangers 80 to 97. Told the Ford parts man I wasnt sure I had enough cash to buy 2 hangers. He gave me the wholesale price,I had just enough. Most places use computers rather than parts books.Went to get a small acetylene bottle, they gave me an empty bottle,The second one was a leaker.I called a shop where I had bought CO2 in the past,They told me they werent taking on new customers because of the acetylene shortage.I told them I needed a small MC bottle. No go.
