Speaking of haying with an Oliver reminded me of an incident when I was a kid back in the fifties. Next door neighbor had hay to be baled and the man came to do the job had a Farmall cub or A, (can't remember, been a long time), to pull the side delivery rake. Well, he made about two trips around the field and they started baling with an Oliver 88 pulling a baler that operated off the PTO, In just a few minutes the Oliver was gnawing at the back end of the hay rake! They had to get a larger tractor to pull the rake in order to stay ahead of the Oliver! I laugh every time I think about that.
