I watched most of the activities and I'm not much smarter but it sure was interesting.
This is Kremer well drilling from Mt. Pleasant IA. They came highly recomended and lived up to all expectations. We are about 100 miles from Mt. Pleasant but he said they get over here into IL all the time. Just after dinner they said they were going to drill one more pipe section and they were going to be done. There happened to be nine of us there to see them sink the last 20 feet.
This is Jack Kremer diligently watching the rig run the last few feet. Says we have over 30 gallon a minute of water. This well is deeper than most deep wells in the area. He said the deeper we went the into the limestone layer the more water we would get, so on to 695ft he went.
This is their drill rig. It was easy to see its a heavy outfit then we noticed it had no license plates. Seems as it weighs in excess of 70000lbs so they have to have a special permit to move it around. I didnt ask what it had for a engine but they added fuel to it while they were here. So we have a hole with water in it. The pump guy will be here and install it, run the water line hook up the new waterer and we will be one step closer to having the feedlot ready for cattle. It wasnt cheap but it is a nice piece of mind to know we shouldnt have any water supply issues. bill

But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
