Your DB dealer or tractor mechanic have all seen this many times before and should be able to tell you what's most likely wrong over the phone.
Hopefully there is a big fusable link, fuse or circuit breaker that blows before the whole wiring harness completely melts. Follow the smoke, smell or look for melted insulation to find it. It should be close to the battery. Check if there is a wiring diagram in your operator's manual, it should show it too.
If it has an alternator you may have also fried the diodes in the alternator, but it would still start if that was all that was wrong.
