Thanks for the shout. 20 years ago, Emden, IL (500+/-) had Chevy, Ford and Chyrsler dealerships, grocery store, 2 bar/restaurants, 2 feed stores, etc. - now gone, but the bank and post office.
35/45 years ago, I made good money detaselling, walking beans, shelling corn AND getting to bale hay or straw, plow, cultivate, hual corn, etc.
35 years ago, I moved to PeoRia, Il and the folks went to a retirement village 3 years ago. Still like to visit where I "growed up".
