Thanks Allen. When I got back from walmart I found the compressor kicking in for a second and kicking out for a second. Tried to add freon for a while but it didn't take much. Then it quit cycling the compressor. Then I figured out I had been jumping the high pressure switch. Did the battery thing. Got the low pressure switch connecter loose from the switch on the accumulator. Jumped that connector and now the compressor runs with a slight whistle. Tried adding freon and it wouldn't take any. That low pressure port is hidden back under some hot hoses. I took a break and put the freon can in the frig for another try in a minute.
