Automotive tires SUCK on the front of a tractor. Loader or not, when you put a load on the 3 point (ie: rotary mower, box blade, disk, plow, ect...) your steering is poor at best.
If one is running automotive tires and says the steering is fine, you are only using 1st gear. Go into a hay field, crank up the disk or drum mower, get moving at 8-10 mph, then make your turn! Tri-ribs have a hard time, automotive tires are like doing a power slide in a Corvette.
I am not bashing them because they are cheap to use (when used or left over from the truck). I'm bashing them because they destroy your steering abilities. This is annoying when making tight turns and can actually be dangerous in hilly terrain.
My grandfather only runs used 16" truck tires and I hate using his equipment because of it. Those tires have ruined me for anything over a 3 or 4 rib F1 tire. I wanted to go with used airplane tires on my loader tractor, but I'm afraid they will perform like truck tires.
Thats my rant on truck tires used as F1 ag tires. If one is worried about flats, get your F1, F2, F4 tires foam filled. At least you can still steer predictively.

It would be a great day for the collies and the terrier dogs, rats and mice would be at the bottom of the stacks so the dogs, would have a busy time hunting and killing, all the corn was gathered and ricked in what we c
