I don't know the whole story but a friend of mine worked for Belarus and has one. First, these tractors are no longer imported into the U.S. bucause U.S. volumes could not justify emissions development. I guess this is the bad news. The good news is tractors in the U.S. are still being supported from a parts standpoint. I'd suggest you find a dealer that supports these tractors and talk to him. Further good news, the Belarus is a very fuel efficient tractor and starts unaided in cold temps. Operator comfort and ease of use of controls is average. No big deal if you are going to use it for an hour or two at a time but you will not be comfortable at the end of a long day. If you are going to put a loader on this tractor it must run to the rear axle for a support point. Loaders that mount to the transmission will break the tractor in half. Many are in salvage yards (cheap parts) due to mis-mounting of loaders. My friend's tractor had a combination 12/24Volt electrical system. He rewired it to a straight 12V system. Most of these reactors have front wheel assist, a very nice feature. You can expect to see minor oil leaks, owners seem to just live with them. The price on the tractor tou are going to look at should be good vs anything else in its HP class. This is about all I know but it is a good starting point.
