Id say the tranny went out on ya, did the fluid smell burnt at all? If it did thats would be your problem. Normall when a tranny fails you will still have atleast one gear, sometimes reverse, and sometimes one of the forward gears. What tranny is in it, if it is the AOD that is fords biggest pos, if the tranny fluid wasnt burnt id say that the modulator valve may have went bad on it, thats on the tranny on the passenger side by the back side of the pan, sometimes the vacuum line comes un hooked from it, and other times it just goes bad, take and look at it, if its unhooked hook it back up and should go, if its still hooked up, pull the hose off of it and see if it has tranny fluid in it, if it does, the modulator valve is bad, about 16 buck for one at the parts store.
