I would have to really sit down and put the pecil to it before I gave up a definate profit off the land. Even bailing the straw Im not sure after you pay for the help bailin, custom hauling, harvesting,fertilizer and chemical how much profit youll make.Not to metion how long the straw mite sit in the barn before you can sell all of it. Broadcast spreading is not a really good way to grow wheat. Its not very consisitent and not gonna produce a very good stand. Most guys that broadcast spread wheat are only doing it as a cover crop situation at least here where I live anyway. the other thing to consider is what are you gonna do with the land after the wheat is cut and the straw is bailed?
