i have a 1946 G john deere which has a hydrolic system on it i have never seen before. the pump is similar to the standard power trols. when i got the tractor it had been sitting a long time, water got into the pump froze and cracked the housing. i found a good housing, did the repair but cannot get the rockshaft to move. the upper part of the system has two valves with arrows on them, one on each side of the control housing. i assume they must be set a certain way for remote operation and another way for the rockshaft to move. the control lever comes straight out the back of the upper control assembley and looks like it may have had some kind of rod linkage connected to it but is missing. i have psi coming out the left outlet when the left valve arrow is pointing toward the back and the right valve arrow pointing to the front of the tractor. have tried various valve positions but cannot get the rockshaft to move. could it be frozen?? any help would be greatly appreciated as i cannot find any info on this unit. need the rockshaft to work so i can put a three point on it i just got with a parts tractor.
