I'm taking out a small crab apple tree that died in my front yard. (Wish I had my tractor here to help with the stump.) Anyway, has anyone ever used crab apple to smoke meat? I've used apple in the past and liked it, but never crab apple. I've never heard of it being used either which leads me to believe there is probably a reason. It just seems a shame to just haul it off if I could use it to make some BBQ.
